How many pounds of produce is in each juice?

Each recipe contains 2-3 pounds of produce per 16 oz bottle of juice.

Is raw juice safe?

YES! The cold-pressed technology allows us to carefully extract the juice without heating up or oxidizing the product, therefore giving it an extended shelf life that is completely safe for consumption.

Can I sample the juices before I buy?

Absolutely!!! We want you to! In fact, anytime you come into our store or catch us at a Farmers Market we offer FREE samples. We want you to try them all and hopefully fall in love with something you didn’t know you would like.

Do you ship?

Our products are raw and unpasteurized and that means they need to be consumed by a much shorter “best by date” than your store bought pasturized juices. We always encourage call ahead orders and if you are traveling, please let us know ahead of time if you will be purchasing a large order so that we can accommodate it. Additionally, it is always best to provide a cooler to transport if you will not have access to refrigeration in a timely manner.

I’m a diabetic, is it okay to drink juice?

We encourage a vegetable heavy juice for those that are diabetics. However, since we get this question a lot, we wanted to address it. Please consult a physician if you have a medical related concern regarding juice consumption. We are here to guide you, but you know your body best.

How do you pronounce the Acai in acai bowls?

(ah-sigh-EE)

BUT, we promise never to judge you for mispronunciation.

What is Acai?

Acai is a deep purple, grapelike edible berry harvested from acai palm trees known as Euterpe oleracea native to the rainforests of a Central and South America.

Acai berries contain antioxidants, fiber and heart-healthy fats similar to that of cranberries, but greater than what is in blueberries or strawberries. Acai berries are low in sugar, but contain excellent amounts of calcium, fiber, and vitamin A. Additionally, acai berries contain 10 to 30 times more anthocyanin power than red wine. Their taste is often described as reminiscent of wild berries and chocolate—perfect for delicious acai bowls!

Can I drink your juice while pregnant?

Yes.

Can I drink the whole bottle in one serving?

Yes, completely safe. If you eat a lot of processed foods, the whole food may initially (ahem) clear you out.*

*You might poop more. It’s natural. Everyone poops.

Do you add sugar to your juice?

Nope, no, never. No hidden or artificial ingredients go into our juice at Songbird Juice Co. The only sugar is the natural sugar in the ingredients.
